04/04/2012 Minister Shatter appoints members of the Authority
The Minister for Justice and Equality, Alan Shatter T.D, today (4/4/12) announced that he has signed the first Commencement Order and the Establishment Order under the Property Services (Regulation) Act 2011.

The Government policy on the appointment of chairpersons of State boards and bodies is that those who are proposed to be appointed make themselves available to come before the relevant Oireachtas Committee. Ms Geraldine Clarke appeared before the Joint Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality as Chairperson designate of the Authority on 27 March, 2012.

04/01/2012 The President has signed legislation.
The President has signed the Property Services (Regulation) Act 2011 into law on 20 December, 2011. The legislation is subject to commencement orders which are to be made by the Minister for Justice and Equality.
