The PSRA Implementation Group
Pending enactment of the legislation, the Minister for Justice and Law Reform set up an Implementation Group, to assist and advise on practical matters relating to the establishment of the new body and to prepare for the new licensing system. The Group has identified a number of issues, fundamental to the long term functioning of the Authority, which it considers can be put in place in advance of the legislation. These include the development of a Code of Practice for the industry, the publication of aRegister of Licensees and A Guide for Users of Property Services Providers all of which are now in place. The systems and procedures required for the new regulatory environment are also being developed in order to carry out the Authority’s functions at an early date.
The Group is Chaired by Mr. Tim Dalton a former Secretary General of the Department of Justice and Law Reform. ^ Back to top
